Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Rail Coordinator to join our team in Parkes, NSW! This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient and compliant rail operations while delivering high service levels to our customers and driving continuous improvement across the rail function.
Reporting tothe Rail Operations Managerthe positionincludes the following responsibilities:
* Ensure timely and accurate updates across SCT's Rail Systems.
* Issue train service and operational reports after each train makeup.
* Plan daily train arrivals and departures in conjunction with Train Control and Rail Planning teams.
* Communicate train movements clearly and in a timely manner.
* Develop and continually improve shunt plans to meet on-time departures.
* Manage incident reporting, investigations and close-outs via our incident reporting system, Donesafe.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Demonstrated experience in a similar coordination or operational role.
* Current Australian Driver's Licence.
* Strong understanding of WHS and Rail Safety Regulations.
* Excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team.
* Certificate IV in Business Administration, Transport & Logistics or equivalent.
* Experience within the transport, rail or warehouse industries.
* SAP experience.
* Experience in a freight scanning or containerised freight environment.
