As an Automation Technician, you'll be the go‑to expert for keeping GMW's high‑tech irrigation and water management systems running smoothly. From fault‑finding and troubleshooting to working on state‑of‑the‑art telemetry, SCADA, and remote monitoring systems, no two days will be the same.
Your role is to keep things flowing by maintaining and supporting our automated assets—regulators, metering outlets, communication nodes, and telemetry networks—while being part of a dedicated team that thrives on challenges.

What you'll be doing
* Hands‑on troubleshooting & repairs – inspect, diagnose, and fix automation issues.
* High‑tech maintenance – work with RTUs, SCADA systems, radio telemetry, and instrumentation.
* Problem‑solving on the go – tackle technical faults in the field and keep things running smoothly.
* Preventative maintenance – stay ahead of issues by keeping systems in top shape.
* Call‑out roster participation – be ready to jump into action when needed as part of a 24 / 7 rotating on‑call team (including weekends and public holidays).
What we're looking for
Essential
* A natural problem‑solver with a keen eye for technical troubleshooting.
* Solid knowledge of 12 / 24 / 48V (ELV) wiring standards and AC / DC electrical theory.
* Hands‑on experience with RTUs, SCADA, and radio telemetry systems.
* The ability to work independently and travel to remote locations as needed.
Desired
* Familiarity with Rubicon Regulator and Outlet Meter products.
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Instrumentation & Control, Automation, or similar.
* Experience in remote diagnostics for SCADA networks.
* Soldering skills (because sometimes, small fixes make a big difference)
