Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a senior Dietitian to join the ISLHD Nutrition & Dietetics Department as an Aged Care Clinical Lead Dietitian Level 4. The Aged Care Clinical Lead Dietitian is a Level 4 Dietitian position based at Port Kembla Hospital and provides leadership within Aged Care and Rehab nutrition services across the ISLHD Nutrition & Dietetics Department. The position will be part time permanent 16 hours per week starting from the end of April. The position will form a job-share with a substantive position holder.
We are seeking a clinician with extensive recent experience in Clinical Dietetics in the inpatient and outpatient setting who brings skills and experience in aged care nutrition, chronic disease management and counselling. The role will be initially based at Port Kembla Hospital within the dietetic team across Shellharbour, Bulli and Coledale, and also has district wide responsibilities. The position will predominantly be outpatient based, but may also will include inpatient work across various sites.
The position will support other Dietitians working within Aged Care/rehab nutrition across ISLHD and may be required to work at these sites for support as required. The Clinical Lead Dietitian also contributes to the ISLHD Nutrition & Dietetics Leadership team to support the broader Nutrition & Dietetics Department including professional development, teaching and training of staff and students as well as research, quality improvement and service evaluation.
Qualifications and requirements
* Extensive recent experience in Clinical Dietetics in inpatient and outpatient settings
* Experience in aged care nutrition, chronic disease management and counselling
* Based at Port Kembla Hospital with district wide responsibilities; outpatient based with possible inpatient work
* Support to other Dietitians in Aged Care/Rehab nutrition across ISLHD
* Contribute to leadership, teaching, training, research, quality improvement and service evaluation
* Essential requirements: Vaccination requirements for a Category A role; Working With Children Check (WWCC); eligible for membership in Dietitians Association of Australia; valid NSW Driver's Licence
