Job Opportunity: School Tuckshop Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage the day-to-day operations of our school tuckshop.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and serving of food, managing inventory and supplies, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, and supervising volunteers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and serve food in accordance with menus that actively support health food programs
* Manage inventory and supplies, including ordering, receiving, storing, and performing stocktakes
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in food preparation and storage areas
* Supervise, coordinate, and support volunteers and staff in the tuckshop and storage areas
* Assist with special event days and catering requests for school functions
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Demonstrated ability to create and implement menus that actively support health food programs
* In-depth knowledge of proper food preparation techniques, food storage, and food safety
* Proficiency in workplace health and safety practices
* Extensive experience in stock management, including ordering, receiving, storing, and performing stocktakes
* Commitment to adhering to hygiene regulations and maintaining cleanliness in food preparation and storage areas
* Experience in supervising, coordinating, and supporting volunteers and staff in a food service environment
