About The Role
The Machine Operator role is a
Full-Time
position, based at
Thomastown, VIC
. Reporting to
Manufacturing Manager
, you will inspect bricks as they pass by, remove rejects/seconds, and place second-class products on the seconds carousel. You will operate multiple machines, fault find, and perform quality control checks as part of your routine.
Report any unsafe conditions, machinery issues, or near misses to management.
Always wear proper PPE and ensure it is in good condition.
Check machine guards and mobile equipment before use.
Follow lock out/tag out and confined space procedures.
Keep your area clean and dispose of waste properly.
Inspect bricks for defects and sort accordingly.
Report colour variations to the leading hand.
Cover breaks for other operators when needed.
Assist with cleaning during breakdowns when directed.
Do any other tasks assigned within your skill level.
You will be working the day shift,
Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
(with casual OT on some Saturdays) + willingness to work additional overtime hours as the business requires.
What You Bring To The Role
A great work ethic and strong commitment to safe work practices and safety.
Experience in a production or similar role is desirable.
A strong commitment to safety awareness.
Willingness to learn and absorb new information and skills.
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
A current forklift license will be advantageous.
