Melbourne Park is looking for a dynamic and experienced
Event Manager
on a Fixed Term Contract until 13th February 2026 to join our team in delivering one of the world's premier sporting and entertainment events. Working closely with Tennis Australia, you'll play a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of the Australian Open – from site readiness and infrastructure to stakeholder engagement and event delivery.

Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth planning and delivery of the Australian Open.
* Act as the Accreditation Group Coordinator, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
* Support site infrastructure setup and bump-in/bump-out phases with detailed handover reporting.
* Drive venue readiness in collaboration with operations, workforce, and client teams.
* Manage event documentation, diagrams, and operational plans using tools like Iventis.
* Support office relocations and set up key event spaces (e.g. Event Call Centre, Venue Communication Centre).
* Monitor and close out incidents using the 24/7 Incident Management System.
* Liaise with emergency services and key stakeholders to ensure a safe and seamless tournament.
What You'll Bring
* Strong background in event planning and operational delivery in large-scale or high-profile environments.
* Proven stakeholder management across internal teams, clients, and external partners.
* Hands-on experience in event site readiness, accreditation processes, and infrastructure logistics.
* Proactive and collaborative mindset with a passion for world-class event delivery.
* Familiarity with working in permanent and temporary event environments (stadiums, arenas, precincts).
* Knowledge of security, safety, and risk management practices for major events.
* Excellent communication, multitasking, and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event planning tools (e.g.,, Iventus).
* Calm under pressure and solutions focused.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Events, Sport, Tourism or Project Management and Certifications such as CI, RSA, Safety Officer, OH&S, Fire Warden – Advantageous but not essential.
