We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead financial operations within the industrial and manufacturing industry. This role is based in Footscray and focuses on overseeing financial strategies and ensuring compliance. Description The Financial Controller is responsible for the following: Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. Manage a team of 5 incorporating Management Accountant, Financial Accountant and accounts. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Manage cash flow and oversee financial planning processes. Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management. Management and Cost Accounting activities Developing a business partnering function with site and operations Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team to achieve organisational goals. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business decisions. Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement. Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices. Profile A successful Financial Controller should have: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accreditation such as CPA or CA. Experience in financial management within the industrial or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven leadership and team management capabilities. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
