Our client is a renewable energy developer creating large-scale solar and storage projects, helping utilities and businesses transition to cleaner electricity while supporting broader decarbonisation and sustainable energy goals across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Country Manager/Project Director to manage daily commercial and technical activities for a large BESS project through to sale or financial close.
* Act as the central coordinator for multiple stakeholders, including technical advisors, OEM and BoP bidders, TNSPs, legal advisors, and internal teams across Australia and international counterparts.
* Lead procurement processes with the technical advisor for OEM and BoP, ensuring compliance with CIS requirements and project-specific design considerations in concept design and tender documentation.
* Manage TNSP relationships, covering transmission infrastructure access, non-contestable works, land access for site studies, and negotiation of the Connection Agreement.
* Support techno-commercial optimisation by evaluating design, program, pricing, and risk aspects to inform project structuring and decision-making.
* Assist in coordinating term sheets and full contract negotiations for OEM, BoP, and Connection Agreements.
* Support business development and tender processes, including contributions to Tolling Agreement negotiations with external consultants or advisors.
* Review and analyse financial models prepared by the financial advisor, coordinating input iterations and conducting in-house assessments where required.
* Provide general execution support for the sale process, including managing inputs for due diligence reports, coordinating the vendor data room, responding to bidder queries, and assisting with negotiation or amendment of transaction documentation.
About you
* Self‐motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic with a pragmatic approach to managing multiple workstreams.
* Highly organised and comfortable coordinating a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong project management skills, with a focus on day‐to‐day process oversight rather than senior‐level technical or strategic decision‐making.
* Exposure to EPC/BoP, OEM, and Connection Agreements, including key commercial concepts such as performance warranties, security packages, and interface risk.
* Backgrounds in techno‐commercial roles, advisory/consulting, mid‐to‐late stage greenfield project development, or M&A/investment in infrastructure are highly relevant.
* Ability to work across multiple disciplines and integrate inputs from technical, commercial, and financial advisors.
* Adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast‐paced, multi‐stakeholder environment with competing priorities.
