As our highly valued Senior Integration Specialist based in Brisbane, you are an influential member of the Customer Channels team that delivers great customer experiences to our key customer‐facing channels. We deliver digital self‐service capabilities that enable our customers to bank how they want and when they want. We make our customers' lives easier by delivering new features and removing friction.

You'll make an impact by:

Leadership

* You are accountable for creating a culture of exceptional service, teamwork, commitment to excellence and a professional ethic that enables the achievement of team and organisational objectives.
* You will do this by advocating and championing a life‐rich culture within your team.
* You are accountable for the day‐to‐day operations of your team, including meeting service standards, communication, providing ongoing team direction, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports.
* You are responsible for all aspects of people management of your team including the recruitment and on‐boarding, day‐to‐day performance and behaviours of your team and the continual development of your direct reports.
* Your key measures of success are team engagement, turnover, absenteeism, and internal customer satisfaction.
* Lead appropriate delivery methodologies which may include Lean, Agile, Iterative or Waterfall.

Development of High‐Quality Applications

* Analysis, system design and support of applications in conjunction with users and business analysts.
* Research technical processes using sources such as error logs and product technical documentation to help identify solutions to resolve problems or improve efficiency.
* Define application and system design solutions to support business requirements.
* Suggest improvements to systems that will enhance stability and resilience.
* Write detailed solution design specifications and option papers for new initiatives.
* Version control management of customised versions of software.

Issue Management and Problem Solving

* Assessment and prioritisation of issues and problems.
* Allocation of responsibilities to resolve issues.
* Monitoring issue resolution.
* Taking ownership for problem and issue analysis and facilitating solution/resolution agreement.
* Improve supporting systems management policy, processes, and standards.

Mentoring

* Act as a quality gate to ensure that solutions developed by external parties meet the team's quality and maintainability requirements.
* Coach team members in agile development practices.

Technical Leadership

* Provide technical leadership by ensuring best practices are adhered to by business and technical teams.
* Take the lead in working with Architects to provide fit for purpose technology solutions to align to organisation objectives.

Do things differently with us

To succeed in this role, you will have:

* Minimum 7–10 years' experience in IT with a background in Applications Development and Support.
* 8+ years' experience in a similar role in financial services, banking in particular.
* High level of enthusiasm and drive to deliver change in a dynamic environment.
* Strong interpersonal, communication and team building skills.
* Well‐developed leadership and negotiation skills.
* Balanced business/technical focus with an eye for continual systems/process improvements.
* Minimum 5 years Java development experience (covering the full SDLC (internal, partner/vendor development)).
* Extensive design and implementation experience with solid technical understanding of RESTful services, Integration patterns, Middleware, TIBCO ESB and Messaging technologies.
* Experience with DevOps practices such as code versioning, packaging, test‐driven development (TDD), continuous integration, test automation, code analysis, and code quality metrics.
* Experience with Cloud Native integration technologies such as AWS API Gateways and Containerized integration tools.
* Experience building SOAP and RESTful web services.
* Ability to work after hours for application deployments and as part of an on‐call roster.
* Team‐oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
