Project/Asset Accountant Eden Ritchie are looking for a Project/Asset Accountant to join a dynamic team dedicated to addressing immediate issues related to the accruals process for capital projects within the Infrastructure Services Division. As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective financial management of capital projects and optimising the Infrastructure Investment Program (IIP). As a Project/Asset Accountant in the Infrastructure Services Division, you'll be part of a team tackling immediate issues in the accruals process for capital projects. Your role is vital in improving business practices and supporting ICT system enhancements, ensuring effective financial management of capital projects. You will work closely with stakeholders to optimise the Infrastructure Investment Program, focusing on budget governance, funding programs, and financial infrastructure delivery performance. Your day-to-day will involve building strong client relationships, validating accruals for capital projects, and providing guidance on asset capitalisation. Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualification in finance, accountancy, commerce, or economics is desirable. Previous experience with SAP financial systems (or other financial systems) preferred. Infrastructure financial management experience, including project financial management and asset accounting. Strong financial analysis skills, including proficiency in Excel and compiling and analysing financial reports. Previous experience in financial management or project support roles. Knowledge of infrastructure project management principles is an advantage. Demonstrated understanding of project accounting principles relevant to the construction of a fixed asset.
