Your new role
As a lawyer in the disputes team, you will work on a diverse range of matters including commercial, property, planning disputes, and employment law. This role offers exposure to complex and interesting cases, with opportunities to develop advocacy skills and manage your own files under supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing your own matters with guidance and support.
* Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
* Conducting legal research and analysis on relevant issues.
* Drafting correspondence, court documents, and deeds.
* Preparing evidence and assisting with hearings and court appearances.
* Participating in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will ideally have:
* 1-2 years post-admission experience in commercial litigation or employment law.
* Strong research and drafting skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Commercial awareness and sound judgment.
* A proactive, "can-do" attitude and passion for dispute resolution.
