Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who can deliver exceptional care and support to clients across the Darling Downs region. This includes assisting with daily general activities, facilitating community access and engagement, and implementing approved behaviour support strategies.
* This role involves working in various settings including clients' homes and communities, so flexibility and adaptability are essential.
* You will be part of a vibrant and dynamic team that prioritizes client autonomy, dignity, and overall well-being.
* The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will work closely with clients, families, and other professionals to achieve holistic care and progress towards individualised goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with daily general activities, personal care, and meal preparation.
* Facilitate community access and engagement in goal-oriented activities.
* Implement approved behaviour support strategies to address challenging behaviours.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability or Aged Care) or Community Services, or willingness to actively complete.
* A current Working with Children Check (Paid status) or willingness to obtain.
* An NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Paid status) or willingness to obtain.
* A QLD Australian C Class Driver's License with car insurance and registration.
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificates or willingness to obtain.
