We're seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily workshop operations and support our friendly, inclusive team. This is a key leadership role offering excellent employment conditions, including a competitive salary package and career development opportunities.
What You'll Do
* Lead daily workshop operations, including technician scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to ensure optimal productivity.
* Provide expert diagnostic support on complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults, leveraging your extensive hands-on experience, problem-solving abilities, and research skills.
* Perform hands-on technical work as required to maintain service flow and provide direct support to the team.
* Manage quoting, invoicing, and customer communications, ensuring seamless service delivery and strong client satisfaction.
* Utilise digital tools and platforms to research, document, and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members—always with clarity, accuracy, and respect.
* Mentor and support workshop technicians and apprentices, fostering their professional growth and technical development.
* Oversee the maintenance and readiness of the Service Department's fleet and equipment to ensure optimal performance and uninterrupted productivity.
* Conduct on-site visits to customer properties to deliver services and strengthen client relationships.
* Monitor and analyse workshop KPIs, driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of service quality and operational efficiency.
* Collaborate with the Managing Director on strategic initiatives including business development, budgeting, and long-term planning.
* From time to time, participate in intra-state and interstate travel for training, upskilling, and professional development opportunities.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment, ensuring compliance with all company policies and legal requirements.
What You'll Bring
* Advanced diagnostic expertise across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Proven leadership experience, with a strong track record in team management and mentoring. (Ideally five years' experience in a similar role).
* Collaborative mindset, fostering teamwork and shared success.
* Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
* Tech-savvy approach, with proficiency in digital tools and a strong customer-first attitude.
* Agricultural industry experience is highly desirable and will be highly regarded.
