Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Lead Educator.
Key Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Development
o Develop and review curriculum, assessment, and standards support materials for Years 7–12.
o Oversee processes and deliverables associated with adopting and/or adapting the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 for Humanities and Social Sciences (Years 7–10), with a particular focus on Modern History in Years 11–12.
* Expert Guidance
o Provide expert guidance on curriculum and assessment to support the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline (Outline) and WACE.
* Active Policy and Program Work
o Direct and manage development, implementation, and review of policies and programs of the Authority associated with Kindergarten to Year 12 curriculum, assessment, and moderation;
o Research best practice in curriculum, standards, and moderation; plan and develop policies, programs, systems, and innovations;
o Manage projects across the Authority; ensure the Authority remains responsive to the needs of the SCASA Board and the Minister and lead coordination of services and support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related field;
* Proven experience in curriculum development and management;
* Strong leadership and project management skills;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Able to work effectively in a team environment.
