**About the Role**

The Arts, Heritage and Libraires branch enlivens and enriches the lives of residents and visitors through the provision of library services, creative, cultural and heritage programs.

As the Marketing Lead, you will lead strategic brand, marketing, audience development, ticketing initiatives and delivering tactical event marketing plans and communications solutions for a diverse portfolio of Creative Arts projects and programs, including Horizon Festival and ArtsCoast

Key duties include:

- The Marketing Lead will be responsible for supervising the Marketing Team and working closely with the Creative Director to design and implement the Marketing and Communications strategies for Creative Arts projects and programs including Horizon Festival aligned to the Sunshine Coast Creative Arts Plan and relevant project and audience development strategies.
- Overseeing the implementation of the brand, ticketing, audience, digital and content strategies, with a key focus on identifying potential audiences and appropriate marketing channels to motivate attendance, enhance engagement and achieve attendance targets.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of overarching brand, project and event-by-event campaigns, managing the marketing team, timelines and budgets through a detailed implementation schedule.
- Providing leadership, guidance, coaching and everyday support to the Marketing Team.
- Developing and managing relationships and obligations for key media and marketing partners.
- Working closely with the Marketing Team, overseeing the development of creative, impactful audience-focussed content for campaign communications across multiple channels including eDMs, social media, digital and print advertising, TV and radio.
- Working closely with a graphic designer and external suppliers, oversee the production of branded touchpoints and marketing activities, products and advertising across all mediums (television, radio, print, outdoor and online).
- Contributing to Creative Arts research and reporting, preparing post-event marketing reports for sponsors and strategic marketing partners — including Horizon Festival.

**About you**

As a marketing professional you will possess tertiary qualifications in marketing or a relevant field from a recognised educational institute or have substantial equivalent experience. You will have demonstrated experience in marketing and a range of activities across cultural arts events and festivals. Graphic design experience and Adobe Illustrator highly desirable.

You will possess strong project management and organisation skills with demonstrated ability to develop plans, coordinate actions, gain cooperation and deliver outcomes.

You are a strong and confident communicator with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate persuasively, engage in active listening, consult with a wide range of people at all levels of the Council, foster collaboration, cooperation and facilitate small work groups.
