NECA Electrical Apprenticeships is a group training organisation employing more than 750 apprentices across the ACT, NSW, QLD and WA. Through access to a wide range of host employers and work environments, apprentices gain broad, practical experience across the electrical industry, helping them successfully complete their trade qualifications and pursue career pathways aligned with their interests.
NECA Training is a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO) specialising in electrical and telecommunications training. It delivers a comprehensive range of industry-focused programs, including ASP and working near powerlines, smart metering, telecommunications, automation, solar and battery storage, safety training, disconnect and reconnect, online learning, and the Certificate III in Electrotechnology for electrical apprentices.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Regional Manager – Training and Apprenticeships, the Admin Assistant's role is to provide administrative support to the RTO and GTO, and other NECA staff as required.
This is a permanent part time role. The successful applicant will be required to work 4hrs/day, preferably in the afternoons (ie; 12-4pm or 1-5pm), five days/week.

DUTIES
* Initial point of contact for office visitors at Reception
* Answering general queries by telephone, email or in person
* Assisting with maintenance of records, filing systems and computer files
* Assisting trainers with preparations for training courses
* Liaison with internal and external stakeholders
* Undertake general administration duties, e.g, photocopying, scanning, filing, emailing, dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence
* Assist the operations team with arranging appointments, meeting schedules and maintenance of online scheduling systems
* Setting rooms, telecommunication and video conferencing for meetings and training
* Assist with maintenance of common electronic diary with operations meetings and events
* Answer the telephone, respond to enquiries and take messages as a support to other business functions
* Other relevant duties as directed

* Administrative tasks completed accurately and on time
* Prepared documentation is accurate and presented in a professional and timely manner
* Interactions with clients and apprentices are managed professionally
* Database entries are accurate
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Good written and verbal communications skills
* Organised and a great team player
* Great attention to detail
* Ability to type and use the Microsoft Office suite
* Ability to work 4hrs/day, preferably in the afternoons (ie; 12-4pm or 1-5pm), five days/week
* Must be on site in the Fyshwick Office
