Overview
Our client is a leading foreign bank with a robust track record in financing large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across Australia. With a deep commitment to the project finance market and strong global expertise, the bank is seeking an Associate Director to join its Sydney team and play a central role in structuring, executing, and managing a portfolio of project finance transactions.
As Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading the structuring and execution of new project finance transactions, as well as providing ongoing portfolio management across energy, infrastructure, and related sectors. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support the bank’s origination efforts by bringing strong technical credit skills and deep experience in project finance deal execution. Responsibilities
- Structure, analyse, and execute project finance transactions across energy and infrastructure.
- Conduct detailed financial modelling, credit analysis, and risk assessment.
- Prepare and present credit submissions to internal committees.
- Provide ongoing portfolio management, including monitoring performance and covenant compliance.
- Partner with origination, risk, and product teams to deliver strong outcomes for clients.
- Contribute to the growth of the project finance business in Australia.
Requirements
- Proven experience in project finance within a corporate or institutional banking environment.
- Strong technical credit analysis and financial modelling skills.
- Experience across energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Track record in structuring and executing complex project finance transactions.
- Ability to manage ongoing client relationships and portfolio responsibilities.
- Commercially astute with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
