Work as a Family Services Practitioner with Uniting Vic.Tas.
This role involves supporting families who are experiencing high levels of stress and difficulties that impact on parenting, family life and children's well being. The Family Services Program provides assertive outreach and home based supports in response to referrals from The Orange Door.
In this position, you will work collaboratively with families to identify their strengths and needs, and develop plans to support their goals. This may involve working with Child Protection, consulting with colleagues, and participating in Reflective Practice meetings.

* Salary: SCHADS Level 5 + super
* Employment Type: Permanent Part Time
Your Key Responsibilities:
* To work creatively to arrange visits with reluctant new families
* To build rapport to carry out strengths and risk assessments in the client's home or child's school
* To review plans to support a family's goals with your supervisor
* To consult with Child Protection
* To discuss difficult cases with team members in Reflective Practice meetings

Requirements
* A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or a related discipline
* An understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and Best Interest Principles
* Demonstrated experience in undertaking risk assessments and planning appropriate intervention strategies
* A strengths-based, child-centered approach to case management
* Capacity to work flexibly and innovatively to meet the needs of families, children and young people
