AN EXCITING PROSPECT
We are growing! Another exciting prospect exists for Assistant Buyer to take their next career step, within a Global Womenswear Apparel & Accessories brand.
You will partner with and be mentored by the Senior Buyer to research current trends and market demands, providing your support throughout the development cycle, and buying.
Additionally, you will support in the preparation of design packs and mood boards, research sourcing fabrics and trims, research trends and assist in broader ad-hoc administrative tasks within the design and buying team.
Get excited to:
Trend knowledge and interpretation aligned with the essence of the brands.
Assisting in illustrating designs, creating, and updating CADS / design records.
Ensure comprehensive knowledge of local and overseas market trends.
Analyse relevance of trends for brand and develop accordingly in collaboration with the designer.
Demonstrate broad awareness of trends.
Sampling with overseas suppliers
Budget tracking.
Communication with Sales teams about new products.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU OFFER US
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
Skilled in visualizing design concepts (PC/MAC)
Ability to translate fashion trends into commercial design concepts.
Fabric and raw material knowledge
Knowledge of local and overseas fashion retail markets
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
