Our federal government client is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Test Analyst to work in their data and reporting division. This area focuses on delivering data and reporting while building data literacy capability across the branch and regions. The team develops, governs, and maintains an enterprise data warehouse and manages the Agency’s reporting platforms and production content.
As a Data Test Analyst, you will be responsible for:
* Developing Test Plan in line with the (1) Test Strategy, (2) project release plan and (3) delivery methodology
* Developing Test Execution Plan and Test Cases traced to requirements and design documents, including detailed test steps, data requirements, pre-requisites and success criteria
* Conducting data/functional/system integration testing based on documented Test Cases
* Supporting and assisting UAT testing phase, if and when required
* Authors and distributes test summary reports
The successful candidate must have:
* Strong understanding of data quality principles and testing methodologies
* Has strong ability, and at least 3 years hands-on experience, in analyzing and testing data quality, detecting data, integration and functional anomalies, and validating data accuracy and completeness.
* Hands-on experience or long exposure to data warehouse concepts and ETL processes.
* Must be highly experienced in writing good test cases.
* Intermediate to advanced SQL skills
