The Team: Smithton District Hospital (SDH) is small sized sub-acute public hospital located in Smithton Tasmania. It services the whole Circular Head region with a catchment population of 8000 people. The Hospital has 12 subacute beds accommodating general medicine, post-acute, palliative and end of life care. We have a 3 bay Emergency First Response unit staffed by nurses and General Practitioners (Rural Medical Practitioners) who are contracted to provide on call medical services. No surgery is performed at this hospital. SDH offer outpatient services including low risk chemotherapy and supportive treatments for cancer patients, blood products and iron transfusions for acute and chronic conditions. The Role: As an enrolled nurse in a rural facility you be expected to work with an extended scope of practice as you will be working in a small team across inpatient, outpatient & emergency care. Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
