About the role
We are seeking an experienced Level 4 (AD) Procurement Specialist to join our team in Canberra. This is a 12-month contract (with possible extension) starting in early September. The role requires an active NV1 security clearance and strong expertise in the Defence acquisition environment, particularly with ASDEFCON frameworks. Key Responsibilities
* Lead procurement planning, tendering, and contract formation for highly complex procurements.
* Develop and review strategic contracting correspondence.
* Provide guidance and mentoring on technical and commercial risk principles.
* Design and implement commercial risk mitigation strategies.
To be successful in this role you will have
* Proven track record developing complex RFTs in Defence acquisition (ideally comms systems).
* Expertise in complex negotiations.
* Strong knowledge of legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.
* Understanding of Defence capability sustainment and Offer Definition & Improvement Activities.
* Familiarity with technical/commercial risk and performance management frameworks.
