Role Purpose
Our Mount Isa Office is looking for an experienced Family/Civil Law Legal Practitioner with a strong interest in social justice. As one of Queensland's largest legal practices, we offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About You
* Admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland or hold, or be eligible for immediate acquisition of, a current Practising Certificate and be admitted as a Legal Practitioner or Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the Australian High Court.
* Holder or eligible for immediate application of a current Queensland Government Blue Card prior to commencing work.
* High level of professional service and capacity across a wide range of Family and Civil Law proceedings (including casework relating to Child Protection and Domestic Violence applications; plus, casework relating to Civil Litigation such as Anti‐discrimination matters, Estates, and Consumer Protection type matters).
* Minimum of two years of full‐time experience, resilience in handling complex cases including Domestic Violence and Child Protection work, and the ability to develop culturally competent service skills.
