Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist (Cardiology)
As a Staff Specialist/Senior Staff Specialist in Cardiology, you will provide expert inpatient and outpatient care across Logan Hospital's Cardiology Department. You will also take on teaching, leadership, and research responsibilities within a supportive and team-oriented team environment.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive cardiac care, including diagnostic and procedural services
- Provide consultative services to other medical and surgical teams
- Participate in ward rounds, on-call commitments, and patient management
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and students
- Contribute to research, audits, and continuous service improvement
- Lead within a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient-centred outcomes
About you
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate cardiologist who thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting and is committed to advancing cardiac care.
You will demonstrate:
- Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (or equivalent)
- Specialist registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA in Cardiology
- Proven ability in managing complex cardiology patients and procedures
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to support junior staff
- Commitment to research, continuous improvement, and clinical excellence
- Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and teams
