Town Planning & Development Lawyer Role
We are seeking a skilled Town Planning and Development Lawyer to join our Land and Environment Court team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with leading specialist legal practitioners on complex, challenging matters in local government, planning, and environmental law.
Key Responsibilities:
* To appear in the NSW Land and Environment Court as a representative of the firm.
* To support solicitor-advocates and counsel in contested hearings.
* To manage your own files, including planning appeals and enforcement proceedings.
* To provide expert advice to local councils, developers, and landowners on local government, planning, and environmental laws.
* To draft pleadings, affidavits, and submissions for court appearances.
* To collaborate with highly skilled lawyers known for excellence in their field.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 2 years post-admission experience (NSW) with a current practicing certificate.
* Experience working with NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and related legislation.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* An organized approach, with ability to manage deadlines across multiple matters.
* A passion for excelling in local government, planning, and environmental law.
