* Clinical Loading (if eligible)
* Level C: $148,771 - $167,785 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation
* Based at Wollongong Campus, with a requirement to travel to Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands Campuses

About the role

In this teaching intensive role you will contribute to the design and delivery of high quality clinical skills education that supports medical students in developing the competencies required for patient centred care. You will work as part of an interprofessional team to shape clinical skills learning experiences, facilitate small group teaching and contribute to OSCE assessment alongside clinical and assessment leads.

You will collaborate across all Graduate School of Medicine campuses to support the coordinated delivery of clinical skills activities and work closely with the Academic Lead for the Clinical Practice curriculum theme. The role includes contributing to curriculum review, monitoring, and evaluation, participating in leadership activities across the four year MD program, and engaging in scholarship and research related to clinical skills education.

About you

You will bring a sound understanding of contemporary clinical practice standards and a genuine interest in medical education, including contributing to scholarship and research in clinical skills education. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting medical students' learning and development, alongside excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Confidence in using educational technologies and a commitment to culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful practice are essential.

Special job requirements


• Qualified medical practitioner with current, unrestricted medical registration in New South Wales (with no conditions on registration), including vocational qualifications and/or Fellowship, and recent relevant clinical practice. A clinician with equivalent registration and qualifications from other Australian states or comparable international jurisdictions will also be considered.

• The role may require travel to other education sites, including participation in MD teaching, assessment, and staff development activities across the Wollongong, Shoalhaven, and Southern Highlands campuses.
