About The Role
The Strategic High Frequency Communications (SHFC) Program is responsible for delivering and sustaining the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) capability. This role provides specialist Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) expertise focused on sustainment-phase activities, supporting materiel readiness, configuration management, supply chain integrity, and compliance with Defence logistics frameworks.
Operating under broad direction, the ILS Officer (Export Controls & Sustainment) supports sustainment planning, execution, and performance monitoring across the SHFC Program. The role also performs Export Controls Officer responsibilities, supporting compliance with Defence export control requirements and governance frameworks.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Support development, implementation, and maintenance of sustainment ILS documentation including sustainment plans, maintenance strategies, and instructions.
Support sustainment workflows, including tracking deliverables, risks, issues, and performance outcomes.
Manage configuration, asset, and technical data in accordance with SHFC requirements.
Monitor and report on materiel logistics performance including reliability, maintainability, and supply chain performance.
Liaise with Defence stakeholders, contractors, and technical agencies to support sustainment outcomes.
Coordinate SHFC export control activities, including classification of controlled data, preparation and tracking of export approvals, maintenance of export-controlled records, and provision of export control advice.
Assist with procurement, contract-related activities, reporting, and preparation of program documentation.
To be Successful, you will need:
Experience in Integrated Logistics Support, preferably within sustainment environments.
Experience with export controls or regulatory compliance activities.
Knowledge of Defence sustainment policy, tools, and frameworks.
Familiarity with ASDEFCON and CASG logistics environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret complex technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
