About the role
Mater Cancer Care Centre (MCCC) is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join the team in a full-time, permanent capacity.
MCCC aims to offer all patients, regardless of their level of health insurance cover, access to a modern state-of-the-art facility that provides comprehensive and compassionate care that is individually personalised.
The centre includes specialist suites, consultation rooms, cancer care treatment pods, allied health and support programs, on-site pathology and specialised pharmacy.

Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout their disease trajectory
Demonstrating clinical expertise, knowledge of and skills in administering anti-cancer treatments
Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
To be considered for this position, you must have:
Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
Experience in a Day Oncology setting
Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and initiate nursing interventions as appropriate
Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiation skills
A positive attitude, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
ADAC or equivalent certification
CVAD and PIVC competency - highly desirable
While not essential, applicants who currently have or are studying towards a tertiary qualification within this clinical specialty would be highly regarded.
