In this role, you'll provide comprehensive psychosocial assessment and therapeutic support to children, young people and their families, recognising the complex social, cultural and environmental factors that influence mental health and wellbeing. You'll support families during periods of crisis and transition, helping them navigate systems, reduce risk and strengthen protective factors.
Working in close partnership with health, education and community services, you'll play a key role in coordinating care and advocating for child-centred, culturally safe approaches. Through consultation, leadership and collaboration within the multidisciplinary team, you'll help ensure care remains grounded in strong relationships, community connection and long-term recovery.

Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Services delivers community-based mental health care across the lifespan. Our Child & Youth teams provide specialist assessment, treatment and recovery support across rural and regional communities, working closely with families, schools and local services.
About the role:
* Deliver high-level assessment, intervention and care planning for complex cases
* Provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary child & youth team
* Support intake assessment, crisis response and coordinated care pathways
* Contribute to education, supervision, research and service improvement

About you:
* You are qualified and AASW registered (or registration eligibility) to practice as a Social Worker.
* You are an experienced mental health clinician passionate about child & youth care
* You bring strong clinical judgement and confidence working autonomously
* You value collaboration, reflection and continuous improvement
* You are registered with the relevant professional body for your discipline
* You are ready to make a meaningful impact in a rural community
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $65,684 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $ $72.58 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
