As our workload continues to grow, we're looking for a part-time
Estimator
who can help us prepare accurate project quotes and support our operations team — all from the comfort of your home. We tender Education, Health and Private office fit outs.
We are also looking into starting to tender AV, Security and hearing Aug so an understanding of those items would help.
About the Role
This is a flexible part-time position (1–2 days per week). You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and pricing for:
Data, Fibre, AV, Security cabling projects
Fibre-optic installation and splicing work
Communications room upgrades
Commercial network infrastructure installations
General materials, labor, and equipment breakdowns
Your day-to-day will include:
Reviewing plans, drawings, and scopes of work
Preparing detailed cost estimates and proposals
Liaising with clients and internal staff when required
Assisting with tender submissions and project pricing
Maintaining consistency and accuracy across all quotes
About You
Strong understanding of cabling materials, labor requirements, and installation methods
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Strong communication and organizational skills
Confidence using estimating tools, spreadsheets, and documentation systems
You will need to have experience with SIMPRO or TRADIFY.
