About the Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team.
As a valued member of the HME Maintenance crew, you will be responsible for:
* Scheduled and breakdown maintenance of all heavy mobile and ancillary equipment including 600t class Excavators and Blast Drill machines (CAT, Liebherr & Sandvik)
* Utilizing your trade expertise to perform maintenance tasks in a collaborative environment while ensuring safety and productivity targets are met efficiently
* Ensuring all work is performed to trade standards, following established plans and specifications, and meeting desired availability objectives
* Maintaining our on-site maintenance systems and ensuring the integrity of recorded data is compliant
* Liaising with key personnel and sharing ideas for overall improvement outcomes
* Identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace hazards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A relevant Trade Qualification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Min 3 Years in a Heavy Field Environment)
* Previous experience in a similar position, in an open-cut coal mine
* An excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture
* Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment
* Desirable skills: Air Conditioning, Forklift, Medium/Heavy rigid licence, Non-slew Crane, previous experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems
