About Us

QMF is a pioneering music and cultural tourism agency dedicated to harnessing the transformative power of music to build stronger communities and a brighter future. With over 20 years of community impact, QMF leads the way in driving social change through music. Our flagship initiative, Queensland Music Trails, curates unforgettable music and cultural tourism experiences across regional and remote Queensland, where renowned artists perform in spectacular natural locations.

The Opportunity

Are you ready to create experiences that bring music, culture, and community together? Join us as a Producer and help deliver a bold and meaningful program of events as part of the QLD Music Trails.

This is a contract role covering maternity leave for an expected period of 6 to 9 months. Reporting to the Executive Producer, you’ll work closely with artists, communities, and event teams to bring Trail events to life.

What You’ll Do

* Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of assigned events across the QLD Music Trails.
* Manage event budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and reconciliation.
* Support local engagement by facilitating participation opportunities such as workshops or interactive sessions.
* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders including business and community leaders in tourism, arts, and cultural sectors.
* Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless delivery, logistics, and program alignment.

About You

You’re more than an experienced producer — you bring creativity, clarity, and calm to every stage of the production process. You enjoy fast-paced environments, thrive in the outdoors, and find purpose in connecting people through unforgettable experiences.

* Significant experience producing festivals, tours, or large-scale public events (ideally across multiple regional sites).
* Strong stakeholder and community engagement skills.
* Excellent project and budget management capabilities.
* Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
* Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by event schedules.
* Open to travel within Queensland as needed.

What We Offer

At QMF, we foster a supportive and inclusive culture where creativity and connection thrive. You’ll have access to:

* Genuine opportunity for professional growth and career development
* A meaningful role that creates lasting cultural and community impact.
* A flexible hybrid work model – 4 days onsite, with Fridays WFH.
* Modern, energy-efficient workspace with gym and end-of-trip facilities.
* Staff wellbeing initiatives, social events, and access to EAP support.
