Overview
Mercy Health Albury Palliative Care Unit is a 10-bed inpatient palliative care service in Albury, NSW providing holistic multidisciplinary palliative care to the regional area. The team includes nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, dietetics, speech pathology, and pastoral care.
Responsibilities
* Provide best practice nursing care as a pivotal member of the multidisciplinary team.
* Advocate for patients and their families in collaboration with medical and allied health staff.
* Deliver compassionate, quality care respecting patients' dignity through life‐limiting illness.
Qualifications
* Current registration with AHPRA as an Endorsed Enrolled nurse.
* Minimum 2 years post‐graduate nursing experience.
* Experience in palliative care desirable but not essential.
* Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills.
* Proficient with Electronic Medical Records and other nursing computer systems.
* Ability to foster respectful relationships and collaborate within a team.
Additional Requirements
* Valid NSW Police Record Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other required vaccinations.
