Position Overview
Kubota Australia is hiring an experienced Collections & Account Management Officer to support the management of consumer and commercial collections portfolios for Kubota Australia and Kubota New Zealand. This role is offered on a 6-month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will liaise with customers, Kubota dealers, repossession agents, our preferred auction house, and legal partners to facilitate debt recovery and asset repossession activities. You will deliver high-quality customer service through post-settlement support and ongoing account management for equipment finance loan contracts.
At Kubota Australia we distribute high‐value, exceptional quality agriculture, construction and farm machinery, and associated products for sale through our independent dealer network and offer consumer and commercial equipment financing to complement our product offerings.
Responsibilities
* Manage collections and account maintenance in line with policies and regulations.
* Handle collections and hardship cases fairly, ethically and compliantly.
* Send collections letters and required legal documents (e.g. default notices).
* Work with external collections agencies.
* Report on collections performance, including repossessions.
* Arrange sale of returned or repossessed assets through dealers or auctions.
* Proactively manage accounts (send letters, provide payout quotes/statements, process payouts, update customer details).
* Track contract maturity, send final notices and complete PPSR discharge.
* Provide customer service for account‐related enquiries.
* Help improve systems and processes.
* Follow workplace health and safety requirements.
* Perform other duties as required within skills and experience.
Qualification & Experience
* Proven experience in a similar role undertaking collections and account management, including ability to accurately and efficiently action customer contract maintenance requests.
* Demonstrated empathetic and supportive approach to collections and hardship management.
* Proven ability to develop and maintain professional customer and other working relationships.
* Ability to coordinate and prioritise workflow and work items to meet deadlines while achieving high levels of service and quality.
* Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
* Proven integrity in relation to conduct and compliance with policy, procedure, governance and Australian & New Zealand regulatory requirements, including Farm Debt Mediation Schemes and ASIC/ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines, and legal processes.
* Proficiency in standard office and account management applications.
* Accurate and efficient data entry.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Well developed analytical and problem‐solving skills.
* Proven ability to work autonomously without direct supervision and as part of a team in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment.
