Overview
Disability Support Worker (Tamworth, New South Wales) – Christmas Casual positions. Casual hours are available in Tamworth NSW for Disability Support Workers. These positions have potential for ongoing hours including Part time Permanent positions for suitable candidates, along with career growth and progression opportunities. We offer training for all new starters to ensure everyone feels comfortable and are well prepared for the role. Significant availability is a must during this Christmas period across days/nights, weekends and public holidays. x 4 days per week between the hours of 2pm and 10am. Generous penalties apply.
Responsibilities
- Support people in their day-to-day living and provide quality 24/7 care in supported independent living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes), ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for customers.
- Provide direct support across a range of needs including domestic and personal care, and assist customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.
Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends and public/school holidays with significant availability
- Resilience, confidence and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
- Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
- Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
- Smart Phone
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
