Contract Role | Factory Hand | Western Suburbs | Immediate Start
My client is looking for a hands‐on, reliable Factory Hand to join our busy metal manufacturing team on a contract basis. If you are comfortable working in a workshop environment, possess a strong commitment to safety, and have experience with metal fabrication tools or general assembly, this is the role for you.
You will be playing a key role in supporting our fabrication team to deliver high-quality metal & electrical products.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the team with cutting, grinding, deburring, and general assembly of metal components.
Keeping the shop floor clean, organized, and free of metal scraps and hazards.
Safely operating basic shop machinery (such as drills, bandsaws, or presses) under supervision.
Loading and unloading raw materials and finished metal components with care.
Performing basic checks to ensure parts meet specifications before they move to the next stage of production.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a metal shop or similar manufacturing environment is highly regarded.
Capable of performing manual handling tasks and standing for the duration of a shift.
Strict adherence to PPE requirements and workshop safety protocols.
You take pride in your work and understand the importance of accuracy when handling materials.
Ability to commit to a one month minimum contract, with a strong emphasis on reliability and punctuality.
