**Employment opportunity**
Information Division provides ICT services to the Attorney-Generals Department including Royal Commissions. The services provided include infrastructure services, help desk support, IT security, Application support, ICT project management and ICT contract and procurement services.
The advertised role sits within the Office of the CIO who supports the Chief Information Officer, and Information Division with management of ICT Budgets, ICT Procurement and ICT Asset Management.
As part of a small team of ICT Professionals, the occupant will be responsible for supporting the effective and efficient management of budgets across the Information Division. Your role will take a holistic approach to management of both operational and capital budgets with an emphasis on analysis that supports a more predicative approach to estimating and understanding the cost of ICT Services.
**How you can help us make a difference**
- have demonstrated experience with the annual preparation and management of ICT capital and operational budgets including the capital bid process.
- undertake ICT revenue, expense and budget monitoring and analysis including preparing reports for management, as required.
- administer and manage the Divisions Project Time Recording System including payment of invoices for labour hire resources and providing support to resource planning and project management
- supervise APS6 Finance Officer and other OCIO staff or contractors as required by the Director OCIO.
Certain positions require formal legal qualifications. For these positions, applicants must hold a degree in law from an Australian tertiary institution or comparable overseas qualification, which, in the opinion of the Secretary, is appropriate to the duties of the office, or admission in Australia as a legal practitioner.
**Other qualifications**:
A qualification in a financial accounting is not essential but would be preferred.
High level skills in the use of MS Excel are also preferred.
