The Role As the Bell Captain, you will oversee the Bell Desk and driveway operations, ensuring every guest is welcomed with warmth, efficiency and genuine five-star service. You will guide a team of Porters, coordinate daily operations, and uphold Langham standards across all front-of-house arrival areas. Key Responsibilities · Lead, coach and support the Bell Desk team · Welcome guests and assist with luggage, directions and local recommendations · Oversee the presentation and cleanliness of the lobby, driveway, porter stations and baggage areas · Coordinate group arrivals and departures · Prioritise and delegate tasks to ensure smooth operations · Conduct staff briefings and manage day-to-day team performance · Maintain accurate luggage, equipment and courier records · Work closely with Security to ensure a safe entrance environment · Prepare rosters, manage payroll, and oversee staff onboarding and performance plans · Contribute to Front Office KPIs and uphold Langham service and grooming standards About You · Experience as a Senior Porter or Bell Captain, or similar supervisory experience in a luxury hotel · Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team · Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities · Professional presentation with a commitment to exceptional guest service · Ability to remain composed under pressure with strong attention to detail · Flexibility to work rotating rosters, including weekends and public holidays · Familiarity with Shiji PMS and other reporting PMS systems Join Us If you lead by example, thrive in a luxury environment, and take pride in creating outstanding guest experiences, we invite you to apply and become part of The Langham, Melbourne.
