About the roleAs a Pastry Cook at Fairbairn Bakery in Emerald, you will be joining a family owned business with over 70 employees and over 11 production team members baking in 3 production centres.
We are looking for talented, reliable pastry cooks to join our amazing team as we continue to grow this very successful business.
We offer a generous salary and relocation allowance if required.What you'll be doingPreparing a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, slices and other baked goods to the highest quality standards.Sunday to Thursday and rotating every 3rd weekend shifts.Creation of baking production sheets to meet daily baking volumes on orders and some stock ordering.Guiding apprentices, assistants and lead shifts on occasions.Planning for daily production team needs.What we're looking forMinimum 5 years experience as a Pastry CookStrong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practicesHave a great presentation on cake decorating and writing on cakesEnergetic passion towards baking and providing amazing quality products to the community, wholesale and tourist customersVery trustworthy and reliable person able to work unsupervisedStrong teamwork and communication skillsWe're excited to welcome someone who's passionate about food and eager to bring their flair to new specialty items, while continuing to deliver our trusted menu favourites.What we offerLocated in regional QLD town of Emerald, we offer an attractive relocation allowance for suitable candidates that meet the criteria and an above industry salary to attract great people.We highly value our staff and are committed to providing a rewarding and supportive working setting.If suitable, we offer work opportunities for partners in a variety of roles across our retail and wholesale teams, making the regional move both rewarding and worthwhile for couples.About usFairbairn Bakery is a family-owned business that serves the Central QLD community, wholesalers and a large amount of tourists.
