Industrial Automation Engineer - Food and Dairy specialist Integrator
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced automation engineer to join a well-regarded industrial automation integrator. Based in Griffith, NSW. The office is small but growing, and the role offers a genuine mix of project delivery and ongoing service and maintenance work. You will work across a range of fast-moving industrial sectors including food and beverage, dairy processing, and FMCG manufacturing. The company has a growing project pipeline and a down to earth, collaborative team environment.
About the Role
You will be involved across all aspects of project delivery, taking projects from design through to commissioning while also supporting key client sites with troubleshooting, optimisation, and upgrade work. Clients are varied and spans modern food production facilities, large-scale dairy plants, and FMCG packaging and processing environments. No two weeks will look the same.
Responsibilities
* Develop and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems across food, dairy, FMCG, and general manufacturing sites
* Deliver automation projects through design, FAT, SAT, and commissioning
* Support client sites with fault-finding, optimisation, and upgrade activities
* Produce clean, structured, well-documented code
* Work closely with clients and internal teams across both project and service delivery
What We're Looking For
* Experienced industrial Automation Engineer
* Proven experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and configuration
* Capability across at least two major platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, GE, or Citect
* Background in food and beverage, dairy, FMCG, water and wastewater, energy, or general manufacturing
* Experience with FAT, SAT, and commissioning
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with technical and operational teams
