* Contract Duration: 03 Years (12 Months initially + 24 Months extension)
* Work Location: Canberra (Hybrid – 03 Days Office / 02 Days home each week)
* Eligibility: You must need to have Baseline Security Clearance or above.
* Tentative Start Date: 04th May 2026
Position Description
The Department require the services of an ICT Change Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and managing changes to IT systems, infrastructure, and applications to minimise risk, ensure service stability, and support business objectives. This role will ensure that all technology changes are properly assessed, approved, implemented, and reviewed in alignment with IT governance and service management frameworks.
Key duties and responsibilities
The candidate is required to but not limited in his/her duties to:
* Manage the end-to-end IT Change Management process in line with ITIL or organisational standards.
* Review, assess and approve requests for change.
* Lead and facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
* Conduct Impact and Risk assessments for planned changes.
* Ensure proper documentation, testing and rollback plans are in place.
* Track and report changes metrics.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit and security requirements.
* Continuously improve IT Change Management processes and policies.
Technical skills
* Experience in IT Service Management, IT Operations or IT Change Management.
* Experience in Service now.
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience (minimum 3 years) leading the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation of changes arising from Requests for Change (RFCs) within complex ICT environments.
* Demonstrated experience managing organisational change in complex ICT environments, including supporting the successful adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies.
* Demonstrated experience facilitating Change Advisory Boards (CABs) and managing end-to-end change lifecycles.
* Strong knowledge of ServiceNow (or equivalent ITSM tools).
* ITIL and/or Change Management Certification.
* Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM).
