We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to join our team on a fixed-term contract. This role is vital in maintaining financial accuracy through payroll reconciliation, superannuation compliance, and monthly bookkeeping functions.
About the Role
This Accounts and Payroll Officer position involves assisting the senior accountant in daily finance operations, supporting month-end close, and calculating and recording amortisation, depreciation, and prepayments.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Senior Accountant in daily finance operations
* Support month-end close, including processing accruals and verifying expense completeness
* Calculate and record amortisation, depreciation, and prepayments
* Assist departments in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Qualifications in Accounting or equivalent experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and accruals
* At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar finance role
* Sound understanding of accounting principles and superannuation compliance
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
* Experience entering journals and reconciling general ledger accounts
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Good understanding of payroll and superannuation legislation
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
