The OpportunityKBR Defence and Technology Solutions specializes in Defence Mission Planning System development and integration. We combine aviation mission planning, operational support, training, agile software development, and system implementation to enhance current capabilities and design future military environments.
The Information Systems Technician will support the deployment of secure government systems for Defence, working within an agile network team on the Mobile Mission Planning Environment (M-MPE) for the Australian Defence Force.
This role involves developing, integrating, and deploying security-accredited ICT systems, collaborating closely with technical staff and stakeholders to support Mission Planning Systems and related software used by the ADF.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support for software and hardware development, deployment, and sustainment in mission planning environments.Support data issue resolution for MPS.Maintain physical server and networking hardware.Manage systems configurations for MPS laptops.Install, configure, test, and deploy software.Ensure mission systems operate effectively to meet user needs.Support Defence strategic networks.Assist with security and accreditation of MPS.Identify and manage program and technical risks.Review and improve documentation for MPS development and sustainment.Complete tasks within project deadlines.Essential Skills and ExperienceExperience with Defence ICT environments, including DPE and DSE.MS Windows Imaging, security, and Server platforms.Technical/admin experience with Windows 10-11 and Office products.Software scripting and security accreditation compliance.Desirable SkillsKnowledge of Aviation Mission Planning and AC-C2CS environment.Layer 2/3 networking, Linux experience, and software development skills.Database development with SQL Server, geospatial data, and backup tools.Benefits of Working at KBRGreat Place To Work certification.Flexible working conditions.Competitive salary, parental leave, reservist leave, and income protection.Employee rewards, salary packaging, health discounts, and career development opportunities.If you're ready to shape tomorrow, apply now!
