Albany Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As a School Officer you will be the first point of contact for our school and will be responsible for completing administrative duties including greeting all visitors, answering the telephone and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information. You will provide assistance to members of the school administration team with maintaining school databases, records and management information systems to ensure they are accurate and up to date. You will assist with student enrolment procedures and operate a range of software packages particularly databases and word processing. A knowledge of RM Finance, RM Billing, Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and Student Information System (SIS) would be desirable. The suitable applicant should possess strong attention to detail and work well within a team environment, with strong organisational skills and the ability to deliver outcomes while working to deadlines in a sometimes challenging and fast‐paced environment.

Please note - the days of work are from Wednesday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
* obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
* consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.

* Demonstrated experience in providing effective administrative support with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Demonstrated experience in financial processes and procedures, including the handling of debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and/or preparing financial returns.
* Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
* Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
* Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
