Job Description
The Director of People and Culture oversees a team that leads people and culture functions at Anglican Diocesan Services and the agencies we serve.
* Lead the people and culture team by implementing strategies and initiatives that align with organisational values.
* Serve as a trusted advisor for people and culture matters, providing expert guidance and support to stakeholders.
* Develop and oversee people and culture practices and policies that are modern, fair, compliant with legislation and aligned to organisational values.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning processes, ensuring seamless transitions and employee engagement.
* Mentor and advise people managers in their field of expertise, promoting growth and development within the organisation.
* Develop performance management, training, and development strategies that drive business outcomes and improve employee performance.
* Develop a rewards and recognition framework that acknowledges and rewards employee contributions and achievements.
* Partner with executives to evolve workforce planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of People and Culture, you will be responsible for leading a team that drives people and culture initiatives across the organisation.
* Implement effective communication strategies to engage employees and promote organisational values.
* Develop and implement change management plans to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of people and culture programs, making recommendations for improvement and optimisation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and drive organisational success.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Significant experience in people and culture/Human Resources roles, with a proven track record of implementing strategies and initiatives.
* A demonstrable understanding of relevant Australian industrial legislation and labour laws.
* Proven acumen for management, with a high-level understanding of contemporary approaches to human resource/people & culture management.
* An ability to inspire confidence and commitment at all levels of an organisation, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
* A track record of managing change across an organisation, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to business operations.
* A commitment to quality communication and taking initiative, driving business outcomes and improving employee performance.
