We're looking for a confident, hands‐on IT Manager to take ownership of local IT operations in Brisbane, providing high‐quality technical support while managing and mentoring a Junior IT Engineer based in Perth.
This is a service focused role with a strong emphasis on resolving tickets, supporting end users, and handling escalations, while also contributing to wider global IT initiatives. The role suits either an experienced IT Manager or a strong 3rd Line Engineer ready to step into a management position.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Level 1–3 IT support, resolving tickets and maintaining strong service levels
* Act as the primary IT contact for the Brisbane office
* Support and manage a Junior IT team member (remote, Perth)
* Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows and networking environments
* Maintain local infrastructure, devices and core systems
* Work closely with global IT teams, including weekly calls with the UK
* Help reduce ticket volumes by proactively identifying and resolving recurring issues
* Participate in an on‐call / out‐of‐hours support rota
* Occasional travel to Perth (1–2 times per year, fully expensed)
About You
* Confident, self‐sufficient, and comfortable acting as the onsite IT presence
* Background in 2nd or 3rd line IT support
* Strong Microsoft 365 and Active Directory experience
* Good Windows desktop, networking and VPN troubleshooting skills
* Service‐driven with a hands‐on, problem‐solving mindset
* Comfortable working across time zones and collaborating with international teams
