Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
- The Assistant Store Manager - Floor Operations of Sydney Brand Centre is responsible for the store net sales and consumer experience within an adidas Halo store through staff productivity and fostering an active selling environment. A Halo store is the pinnacle of the adidas Retail experience for adidas consumers as it relates to sales & customer service, operations, people, training & product knowledge, visual merchandising & activation.
- Drives profitability of the store by meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets while controlling operational expenses (NS, CAPEX, OPEX).
- Supports store management team by sourcing and allocating appropriate resources within the store to provide consumers with outstanding experience while leading and inspiring store team to meet or exceed commercial goals and build brand equity.
- Represents the adidas brand/company brands and products in an inspiring and impactful way. Amplifies the brand with every decision and every action.
- Works in close collaboration with the Senior Store Manager, Retail Area Manager, and Assistant Store Manager - Operations, to deliver the implementation of strategic actions and projects for the store.
- Implements, drives and ensures compliance with Global Retail operational directives, processes, policies, and standards within the storefront of house, proposing ideas and solutions to build a world-class Brand Flagship Store.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Success:
- Leads, manages, coaches and directs the Halo store floor team to achieve sales, membership, and shrinkage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets.
- Demonstrates ownership of store performance by monitoring the allocation of resources and organizing processes to drive profitability.
- Utilizes all available store and market data to make commercial decisions based on sound analysis and financial judgment.
- Seeks opportunities to build relationships and partnerships with other entities to enhance the exposure of the business to positively impact the net sales and brand equity within the marketplace.
- Selling and Service Culture:
- Supports the Senior Store Manager - Sydney Brand Centre by, embedding, and driving a selling and service culture through sales execution strategies, product knowledge & training, and by ensuring consumers come first.
- Makes sound decisions utilising qualitative and quantitative data surrounding the behaviour and patterns of own store's consumer base, and works in tandem with the Assistant Store Manager - Coach to train the Halo store floor team on efforts to exceed consumer expectations.
- Creates a performance culture by setting clear expectations and targets, analysing store performance, and holding the store team accountable by giving appropriate and prompt feedback, including actively managing poor performance.
- Coaches, motivates and inspires the Halo store floor team to set and accomplish store goals and maximize their individual performance.
- Role models selling & service expectations through being actively present on the sales floor for a minimum of 90% of weekly rostered hours.
- Actively collaborates and shares best practices with peers to support and drive retail performance across the Pacific.
- Halo Floor Management:
- Undertakes daily huddles and at the start of each shift to inform and motivate Halo store floor team on targets, tracking, key messages, and store, and business focuses.
- Ensures that Halo store floor team is surpassing consumer expectations by performing to Halo store selling & service expectations which encompass (but are not limited to) the Connect Engage Inspire (CEI) and Every Moments Matter models (EMM).
- Attentively monitors the engagement and execution of Halo sales floor team members and makes "in-game adjustments" by actively coaching to enhance performance and compliance.
- Actively manages the zoning plan within the store to ensure that all areas of the Halo store floor are covered, providing maximum opportunity to capitalise on sales, an exemplary consumer experience, and minimising the chance for theft.
- Awareness of suspicious behaviour, potential threats, or theft and communicates effectively with store team, whilst immediately actioning plans to mitigate and ensure staff health and safety.
- Achieves shrinkage target of <1% within bi-annual stocktakes through effective execution of zoning and awareness.
- Halo Floor Operations:
- Operates the Halo store floor at a level of excellence within adidas' policy and procedure manuals including Occupational Health & Safety, House of Retail and GSOP (Global Store Operating Policy).
- Assures adequate supplies to create an effective cash desk operational environment and sustains this.
- Ensures that Halo store floor team process efficiently on the Point Of Sale (POS) and maintains a high standard of accuracy.
