Ventia is seeking Technical Maintenance Supervisors to join our team at Leeuwin Barracks in WA, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force. Ventia is a long-standing partner of the Department of Defence, delivering integrated Defence infrastructure and asset management support services.

About The Role
Ventia is seeking qualified Maintenance Supervisors to join our team on a full time basis. The ideal candidates will have experience overseeing a diverse range of skilled trades across planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance activities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national defence capability in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Oversee planned maintenance and repair works, including audits and optimisation of assets.
- Provide ongoing support and leadership to the trades and maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Defence contracts.
- Actively supports and participates in transformation programs.
- Ensure work order allocation to timesheets is accurate.
- Oversee contractor safety frameworks including SWMS, onsite compliance to Ventia Critical Risk Protocols.
- Proactive contractor management of all key performance metrics within the month.
- Ensure contractual compliance through site assessments and initiate necessary work orders or quotes.
- Manage client requests and feedback, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
About You
- Relevant Technical Trade certification.
- Proven experience in operational leadership within Defence or similar complex environments.
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation, WHS committees and safety culture development.
- Demonstrated experience supervising subcontractors and liaising directly with clients.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills—intermediate level in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- A valid C-class driver's license.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police check.
