About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Brand & Customer Engagement, the Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Senior Manager will lead the development and execution of ACH Group's external relations, and communications, strategy.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for positioning ACH Group as a trusted, contemporary aged care provider, while strengthening reputation, influencing stakeholders, and supporting customer growth.
You will lead a small, high-performing team and work closely with executives to deliver impactful communications and engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & Brand
* Develop and deliver integrated communications strategies aligned to organisational priorities
* Lead compelling external messaging across media, digital, and campaigns
* Translate complex sector reforms into clear, engaging narratives
Government & External Relations
* Build and maintain relationships across government, regulators, and industry
* Provide strategic advice on policy, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement
* Lead submissions, briefings, and responses to sector reforms
Reputation & Risk Management
* Manage media relations, issues, and crisis communications
* Identify emerging risks and provide mitigation strategies
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
* Strengthen relationships with community and strategic partners
* Identify opportunities to enhance organisational profile and impact
* Align communications with customer growth and experience goals
* Use insights and data to inform engagement strategies
Leadership
* Lead and develop a high-performing team
* Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
About You
You are an experienced communications and external affairs leader who thrives in complex environments and can confidently influence at senior levels.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Public Policy, Business, or similar
* Significant experience in communications, government relations, or external affairs
* Proven success delivering strategic communications and stakeholder engagement strategies
* Strong media, issues, and crisis management experience
* Demonstrated ability to advise executives on reputational and political matters
* Exceptional relationship-building skills across government, industry, and community
* Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
* Experience in aged care, health, or community services
* Experience in not-for-profit or regulated sectors
* Understanding of aged care reform and policy environment
Requirements
* Current National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
