Nursery / EYFS Teaching Assistant - Cambridgeshire
Full-time and Part-time Positions Available
Pay: £95-£120 per day
We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery / EYFS Teaching Assistants to support our partner schools and nurseries across Cambridgeshire. This role offers excellent flexibility with day-to-day supply, long‐term placements, and opportunities for temporary‐to‐permanent positions within primary settings.
About the Role
* Support the class teacher by delivering a wide range of stimulating and engaging activities.
* Prepare the classroom for lessons, including setting up and tidying resources each day.
* Supervise children during break and lunchtime, ensuring safe and happy play.
* Assist children in learning through play, engaging through observation, interaction, and guided play.
* Work with individual pupils or small groups to support speaking & listening, reading, writing, and Maths.
* Promote the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of all children.
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to planning discussions.
* Attend relevant training, courses, and CPD opportunities for professional development.
Requirements
* Adaptability to support both short-term and long-term placements.
* A genuine passion for inspiring young learners.
* Previous experience in an early years or children's setting (desirable but not essential).
* Willingness to complete safeguarding checks – all staff must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
